MAINDATA will support The DVB Project for a live demonstration of Native IP broadcasting at the BES India exhibition on 16 – 18 February in New Delhi, India. The demonstration will show how DVB NIP (native IP broadcasting) can be used for satellite and terrestrial TV broadcasting based natively on IP without using the MPEG-2 Transport Stream layer.
DVB-NIP specification is a solution from the DVB group for satellite and terrestrial delivery based entirely on IP. During the demonstration at BES India 2023 a DVB Native IP gateway will receive live terrestrial feed with no internet connection and serve live OTT and VOD content to receivers. The demo will use a DVB-T2 transmitter site at Pitampura and will showcase how DVB-NIP can use existing DVB infrastructures to reach a large population of mobile devices in India.
MAINDATA’s sales representative for India Praveen Jaga will be on site in DVB booth #60 to discuss MAINDATA product offering such as IP Encapsulator, MEDIACAST as well as other Satellite to TV towers solutions like SFN Boost and generic Dynamic Broadcast, as well as its plans for DVB-NIP support in other products.
